POCO M3 was released in 2020. This smartphone is now going to receive a sibling, the POCO M3 Pro 5G. As the name says it all, this smartphone will feature the 5G technology and bring some enhancements. Let’s start the review.

In a recent talk, POCO executives Kevin Xiaobo Qiu and Angus Ng announced that the new device would come in Iconic POCO Yellow colour. Kevin also added:

WE WANT TO GIVE PEOPLE AN EASIER WAY TO SWITCH TO 5G. BY GIVING THEM AN OPTION AT A LOWER PRICE POINT, THEY CAN EXPERIENCE 5G WHEN THEY WANT TO. WE WANTED TO MAKE IT MORE ACCESSIBLE FOR OUR FANS TO CONNECT TO 5G.

POCO M3 Pro 5G Specifications

As spotted on different platforms, we learnt that this POCO smartphone would feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate display with 500 nits peak brightness.

Coming to the hood, we would have a MediaTek Dimendity 5G-enabled processor. Kevin also added:

BASED ON OUR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND THE PRICE WHERE THIS DEVICE WILL BE POSITIONED, WE FELT THAT THIS HIT THE SPOT, WE BELIEVE THAT THIS CHIPSET CAN LIVE UP TO OUR FANS’ EXPECTATIONS.

We also expect that this device will bring 6GB of RAM. Coming to the camera, we expect a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. The other two sensors could be 2MP depth and macro sensors. Then there could be an 8MP front shooter.
