Realme GT 5 is now official in China

Earlier this year, Realme debuted the GT3 at MWC 2023. It was unveiled with 240W charging and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. However, the latest offering from the company comes with the latest Snapdragon chipset. Reportedly, the Realme GT5 comes with an impressive spec sheet. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The company added that users could modify the CPU frequency through a system menu.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Realme GT 5 is its Burning Mode. It offers full-frequency speeds when connected with a clip-on fan. It’s unclear whether this Burning Mode works with any product or whether it needs a specific clip-on cooling fan device. The new smartphone is currently only available in China.

Features of the Realme GT 5

The Realme GT 5 comes with a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED screen. It features support for 1,400 nits of peak brightness and a refresh rate of 144Hz. It comes with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It is powered by a 4,600mAh battery with support for 240W wired charging speeds. The company declares that just a 30-second charge can offer users two hours of talk time. Besides this, the company is also debuting a 150W wired charging version of the smartphone. This version comes with a 5,240mAh battery that can be charged fully in just 18 minutes.

The smartphone features a glass back with a black visor. Similar to the last phone, the visor has a transparent window with a fake chipset and a triple camera system. Additionally, there are four RGB lights surrounding the dummy chip that you can change to any of 26 different colors. The triple camera island consists of a 50MP IMX890 sensor as the primary camera. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it features a center-mounted punch-hole cutout that holds the 16MP selfie camera. Some other specs include tri-frequency GPS, an under-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, and Realme UI 4.0 atop Android 13.
