Realme Race Pro To Come With 160Hz screen, Snapdragon 888 & 125W Fast Charging

Of course, smartphone manufacturers will try again in 2021 to outdo each other with top values. Realme sends the Race Pro model into the race here. With a 160 Hz display, Snapdragon 888 and 125W Quick-Charge you are quite a step ahead.

The display is the highlight of the Realme Race Pro

So far, Realme had only hinted at its new top smartphone on the Chinese platform Weibo, but now the company also provides specifications. As Android Authority reports, the Race Pro model clearly wants to place itself against the competition in the high-end area. The focus is on the 6.8-inch OLED screen, which can achieve a refresh rate of 160 Hz with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels – a real peak value that has so far only been achieved in very few models such as the ROG Phone 3.

The focus on high-end hardware then continues under the hood. For the drive, the Snapdragon 888 is on board, which is supported by “up to 12GB low-power DDR5 memory”, more detailed information is still missing here. The maximum working memory can be expected with the 512GB memory version, the 128GB and 256GB memory versions with 8GB RAM. The Realme Ui 2.0 based on Android 11 is used as the operating system.

In the area of cameras, Realme clearly refrains from trying to beat the competition – many quality differences are currently achieved in the software anyway. With a 64 MP main camera and two additional 13-megapixel sensors, you are definitely swimming in the middle of the sea when it comes to pure hardware. There is currently no information about the front camera.

But Realme can still offer a top value: With a 125-watt charger, which is included in the scope of delivery, you are definitely in the upper league of fast-charging offers. The battery with 5000mAh capacity is well dimensioned, but also urgently needed with the built-in hardware. Realme predicts the Race Pro will start in the first quarter, but no price has been given at the moment.
