Redmi 9 Series: Redmi 9C Is A Clone of Redmi 9A With NFC & Dual-Camera Setup

Next up, we have Redmi 9C in line of the Redmi 9 Series. It has a 6.53-inch HD+ (1600×720) IPS LCD display, similar to all the other devices in the series. It comes in 3GB RAM with 64GB storage (with optional extension using mSD up to 512GB) and dual nano-sim card tray.

The Redmi 9C has a 13MP main camera at the rear with a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP selfie-cam, housed in a tear-drop notch. We can surely expect decent photos and pretty stable video recording from Redmi 9C, but the mobile photographers need to look elsewhere for their endeavors. 

The Redmi 9C is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 and a Mali-G31 GPU. This processor is slightly better than the entry-level Redmi 9A, so we can have slightly better performance.

The Redmi 9C has another clone but the difference between the two is one has NFC connectivity. It should be noted down for those who care for more connectivity options.

The show-stopper in this device and all the other devices of the series is the battery. These strictly mid-range smartphones are packing a lot of muscles with  5,000mAh powerhouses. That will make sure the device doesn’t die on you at the end of a normal work day.

For the fans of 3.5mm headphone jack, yes, it’s there, along with the infrared outlet to use the device as a remote-control. The specs sheet suggests a fingerprint scanner and a device like this, there could be a scanner under the display.

The expected price of the device is around Rs. 24,000 to Rs. 28,000. The device will launch for the Summer so it’s around the corner.
