Redmi is expected to bring back the Note 8 with new specifications

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 series was first released around two years ago. Then we saw the Redmi Note 10. But it seems as if something was missing from the Note 8 series for which the company is planning again to roll out a new Redmi Note 8 this year.

The news was first leaked by Kacper Skrzypek using his Twitter handle. He shared a document with some details about a new device belonging to this Redmi Note 8 series. The device carries model number M1908C3JGG.

Since the tipster has a good history, we feel this information stands correct. Although, XDA-Developers have no clue the source of this document.

So, according to the leaks, this new Redmi smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, a 4000mAh battery, and MIUI 12.5, based on Android 11. The device is supposedly only for the EU and Russia, according to the source.

More information came out from another tipster, XiaomiUI. They claimed that this Redmi Note 8 (2021) will feature 22.5W fast charging support, a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, a waterdrop display, and up to 128GB of storage.

The original Redmi Note 8 series offered a Full HD+ resolution display, a rear fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a dedicated microSD card slot for expandable storage. The Note 8 series offers affordable options.

Now that the 2021 Redmi Note 8 has passed through the FCC, it is expected that we would soon witness this new device.
