A little while ago, we didn’t know about the new Redmi K40 Gaming Version and today, the phone officially launched in China – Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. This Redmi gaming device comes with retractable shoulder buttons, vapour chamber cooling, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and a whole lot more.
Starting from the powering unit, we have a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also has a 5,065mAh and supports 67W fast charging. Then we have a vapour chamber technology known as ‘LiquidCool‘ with white graphene to keep the temperatures under control while gaming.
Moving towards the display, we have a 6.67″ Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, 500-nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. We also have a centrally positioned hole-punch cutout for the front camera, which is a 16MP camera.
Going to the backside, we have a triple-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.65 aperture lens, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro camera.
Other specifications include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 dust and water resistance, a triple microphone setup, and speakers tuned by JBL, along with support for Dolby Atmos. This Redmi gaming smartphone will come in three colourways – Black, Silver, and White.

Pre-orders in China has already started (from today). The first sale will start from April 30.
