Redmi K40 To Feature Triple Camera

The Xiaomi Redmi K40 is all set to debut on February 25, and today Redmi has revealed a warm-up poster on its social media account. The poster released focuses mainly on the camera setup of the device which comprises two big camera lenses along with a smaller one.

The Redmi K40 features a triple camera which is classed as “AI triple camera” that comes with two big cameras, positioned vertically, having two smaller horizontal holes in between them, one hole is for a camera, the other for a microphone.

The Redmi K40 device will feature Snapdragon 888 chipset, however, one leak suggested the flagship platform is reserved for the K40 Pro, while the vanilla Redmi K40 will have a Snapdragon 870 chip. Other specs, leaked by TENAA, include a 4,500 mAh battery and Android 11 out of the box. It was also reported in earlier poster leak that Redmi K40 price will start at 2999 Yuan, which roughly makes it $462.

The very same TENAA listings also revealed the K40 series will have a flat AMOLED panel with the fingerprint scanner underneath and alone centred punch hole for the single selfie camera. According to GSMArena, the event is expected to bring a third variant called Redmi K40S with others but apart from the rumoured name, there is nothing much known about the device as yet.
