Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is now rolling out the new MIUI 12.5 to the Redmi Note 8 Pro and POCO F2 Pro. The former came out in 2019 with Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10, while the latter came out in 2020 with Android 10-based MIUI 11.
Redmi Note 8 Pro also got the Android 11 updates, but it is unlikely for the company to give more such updates to this smartphone.
The update coming to the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with build number V188.8.131.52.RGGCNXM and is currently rolling out in China.
On the other hand, the POCO F2 Pro comes with build number V184.108.40.206.RJKEUXM and is rolling out only for the EEA variants.
According to a tipster, this POCO smartphone would most like to receive the Android 12 update and the MIUI 13 update, unlike the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the changelog, but we hope that these two devices would get plethora of updates.
