Release candidate for iOS 15.6, for all users in progress

Shortly after releasing a release candidate for iOS 15.6, Apple released another preview version. This became necessary due to further bugs, but the release of the completed update is imminent. The iOS 15.6 beta is now coming to an end. According to current information, the new pre-release build number 19G71 is the second release candidate that Apple has launched.

The update has been available as part of the developer testing program since Friday evening. The final release and thus the start for all users could take place in the coming days. However, this requires all known errors to be corrected. Until now, it is only known that there were problems related to smarthome connections that are established via the Matter standard. There is currently little information about the individual changes in the new construction. We have listed the innovations and improvements for iOS 15.6 in general at the end of the article.

How to join the beta program

The new update is now available as an update. Registered users can easily get the new version over the air, ie as an online update. Anyone who has not yet signed up for the beta program can do so at any time and participate in the beta phase. You currently have the choice between iOS 15.6 and iOS 16. Participation is free and requires a one-time registration to the program beta.apple.com/sp/en/betaprogram from the respective supported device.

This requires the Apple ID. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll automatically receive new beta versions just like any other update. However, keep in mind that, as with any beta version, unforeseen issues can occur. Apple, therefore, warns that it is better not to use your productive iPhone, but a second device for the tests.
