Samsung Acquires TeleWorld Solutions To Expand Its 5G Network Services In The U.S.

Samsung has announced on Monday that the company has acquired TeleWorld Solutions (TWS) a Virginia-based network solutions provider that provides optimization and testing services for mobile networks and cable operators.

Samsung has made this deal to enhance its 4G, LTE, and 5G capabilities across the US. Samsung would keep itself ahead of 5G competition in the United States. The company TWS has core expertise in radio frequency (RF) and network design services along with installation services, testing, optimizing equipment OEMs and other companies across the U.S.

Samsung’s bet to acquire the core network services company would make its position strong in 5G network services. The deal will further strengthen the company’s portfolio and attract more network infrastructure clients, the company would be able to provide infrastructure design services, installation, and optimization of 5G networks in the U.S.

Paul Kyungwhoon Cheun, EVP and head of Samsung’s networks business said, “Acquiring TWS will help the company to attract mobile carries, address the growing need for 4G-5G network improvements, and finally create more opportunities to enhance our service capabilities to our customers.”

Samsung also said, the company will continue to innovate the communications technology, the company wants to provide optimization services for networks which will eventually accelerate the 5G expansion in the U.S.TWS along with Samsung said, TWS will continue to help its existing customers and clients as it would operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics America. The leadership of TWS will continue to manage the business just like before, however, Samsung acquisition will pour more resources to the company which was inevitable for future growth.
