Samsung is working on a new foldable smartphone after releasing the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This new foldable phone will have some new features and carry on with some old ones, like its rear camera.
Some recent leaks highlighted that the new Galaxy Z Fold 3 would have a 12MP rear camera, which is no different than its predecessor. However, this is not as critical as one might think, plus there will be some upgrades to the front camera.
According to the source, the front camera would be upgraded to 16MP from a 12MP camera. This camera will use the Sony IMX298 sensor with a pixel size of 1.12 microns. There would be another camera on the internal side, which would be a 10MP Sony IMX374 sensor with a pixel size of 1.22 microns.
For this new Galaxy foldable phone, the rear camera will not be the selling point. But Samsung couldn’t release the phone with upgrades. Otherwise, there would be no point in buying this Galaxy Z Fold 3. We expect the company would do some upgrades to its hardware.
According to several reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature a 2,215 mAh + 2,060 mAh dual battery, provided by Samsung SDI, and will be thinner and lighter. Then, there will be a UTG ultra-thin glass panel, support the S Pen stylus, and be equipped with an LTPO screen.
It’s rumored that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2 would arrive in July 2021, and both would bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor under the hood.
