Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung Pay, Galaxy Book 2 Pro News

Samsung has been promoting and updating its products quite fast, below you can have a look at a glance at the most recent updates by Samsung, Samsung news, Samsung products, recent stories about Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung Pay, and Galaxy Book2 pro series.

Galaxy Z Fold4 1TB

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 has been leaking a lot lately, and today we get yet another tidbit of information about it. According to the latest rumor, the foldable smartphone will have a version with a whopping 1TB of storage.

That’s double what the maximum storage is in the Galaxy Z Fold3, and would probably nicely cover even those who like to hoard digital content on their devices. It’s unclear what pricing Samsung will settle on for the Fold4, but for reference, the 512GB model of the Fold3 launched at $1,899. If the 512GB Fold4 remains the same price at launch, then expect the 1TB model to fetch at least $1,999, if not $2,049 or even $2,099.

The storage amount is important because the Fold3 doesn’t have a microSD card slot, and its successor is very likely to join it in that club. So what you get when you buy the phone is the most you’ll ever have, which means more flexibility in offering more options is a good move on Samsung’s part. Obviously, as this is just a rumor at this point, don’t take it too seriously.

We’ve previously heard that the Fold4 would be lighter than the Fold3, and it would be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Keeping the lights on is allegedly a 4,400 mAh battery.

Galaxy Watch 5 launch date

Samsung will launch its new smartwatches alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 within the next few months. The Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will be unveiled on August 10, 2022, according to leakster Jon Prosser.

The 40m version will be available in Phantom Black, Pink Gold, and Silver colors, while the 44mm version could be launched in Phantom Black, Silver, and Sapphire colors.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, the costlier version of the smartwatch, will only be launched in the 46mm size. It could be available in Phantom Black and Silver variants. This watch could feature premium materials, a bigger display, and a huge battery.

Samsung Pay

Samsung pay

Samsung announced today it is beginning to merge Samsung Pass into Samsung Pay. The fusion begins in South Korea, where users will have their digital passes, cards, and smart locks automatically moved from Pass to Pay. Other regions are expected to follow soon.

Samsung Pay is already the in-house system for payments by the Korean maker and allows you to store credit cards, debit cards, and some membership cards. Everyone in South Korea with a Samsung device that is running at least Android 9 will receive an update to their Samsung Pay app.

A Digital Key for a smart lock, compatible with the SmartThings environment, is also one tap away, and travel tickets are also easier to find now. The new mega app will also have support for some travel and movie tickets, including Korean Air and Megabox.

The reason behind this merger is a “more convenient experience”, according to Jini Han, VP of Digital Life Team, MX Divison at Samsung. The ecosystem will keep expanding to include not just payment but also home, car, public transportation, and cultural life services.
