Samsung is bringing the Galaxy Watch back to a square form

It is been ten years since Samsung debuted its first smartwatch. According to some recent pieces of information, the company is reverting back to the square shape design of the Galaxy Watch. In 2013, the company debuted its Samsung Galaxy Gear. It features a 1.6-inch Super AMOLED display that is square-shaped.

If you’re new to the world of Samsung smartwatches, all you might know about them is their iconic circular form. Despite the positive reception, it appears that Samsung wants to make another stir. On the other hand, the company is continuously upgrading its smartwatches with new health monitoring features and updated technologies.

According to reports, the company might bring back the square shape design for its smartwatches. If this happens, then this design will be the same as the one found on the Galaxy Gear, Gear 2, and Gear Live that were debuted almost a decade ago.

Samsung debuted the Gear S2 as the first smartwatch with a circular design. It features a physical rotating bezel. Since then, the company is using the same design hue for its smartwatches. the recent Galaxy Watch 5 models feature the same circular design.

Currently, there are no details on whether this change will be effective with the launch of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series or the company might wait another year for practically implementing this strategy.
