Samsung launched One UI 6.0 beta for Galaxy Z Fold 5

For the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Samsung’s One UI 6.0 beta program is now accessible. In both India and the US, the business has begun signing up prospective individuals for the program. Soon, it ought to be accessible in additional markets. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 series is currently receiving its second One UI 6.0 beta update.

There is only one UI 6.0 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 5

Beginning in early August, Samsung opened testing of the One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy smartphones, which adds Android 14. The Galaxy S23 series’ beta program was initially made available by the firm in Germany, South Korea, and the US. Later, it made itself accessible in China, India, Poland, and the UK.

Samsung has distributed five beta upgrades to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra during the past two months or so. For the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, and a few Galaxy A series mid-range devices, the program concurrently opened. The first foldable model is now included in this list: the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The first beta build for the new foldable is currently coming out with firmware version F946BXXU1ZWJ2, as reported by X/Twitter user @tarunvats33. The size of the over-the-air (OTA) download file is over 2.7GB, which is typical for a significant OS upgrade. The October 2023 security patch is also included.

Samsung may soon release the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s One UI 6.0 beta in other markets (part of the remaining five nations, but not all). You may sign up via the Samsung Members app to test out the company’s Android 14 update. When the beta program is available in your nation, a banner will appear in the app.

To register, tap the banner and adhere to the on-screen directions. The beta build will become available as a standard OTA update once you have finished the enrolling process. As always, you can use the Settings app to manually check for updates. Select “Download and install” from the Software Update menu.

The second beta update for the Galaxy S22 is now available

The Galaxy S22 will also receive the latest One UI 6.0 beta upgrade in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It is the second beta build for Samsung’s flagship products in 2022. With S90*BXXU6ZWJ3 and an OTA download size of around 1.4GB (for the Ultra variant), the distribution has started in the UK. Once more, the package includes the October security patch. This update should soon be made available to more people.
