Samsung Likely To Cut Down Smartphone Production By 30 Million Units in 2022

According to recent estimates, Samsung will reduce its smartphone production by 30 million units. The world has changed drastically since the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to financial difficulties and supply chain bottlenecks, it has been difficult for companies to remain afloat on the market.

According to Maeil Business citing the source, Samsung will reduce manufacturing by 30,000,000 devices by 2022. This announcement comes amid ongoing turmoil in Ukraine that continues to hamper sales. In March, Microsoft and Apple also stopped selling in Russia.

Apple is also experiencing the same problem. According to the company, it will produce another 20 million smartphones in 2022. The numbers will remain flat starting in 2021.

It is not clear which phones Samsung will stop making in the future. It is possible that Samsung will continue to produce specialized phones. In the coming days, more information will be made available.
