Samsung might be thinking of launching tablets with two chipsets

The South Korean conglomerate Samsung is expected to debut the Galaxy Tab S10 series soon. The upcoming series have been spotted on several certification platforms. In the meantime, we are also learning about the features of these devices.

According to the source, the company might be considering a dual-Ap approach for the upcoming tab series. Historically, Snapdragon system-on-chips (SoCs) have been the foundation of Samsung’s premium tablets and foldable phones.

Currently, there are no details on which models will be powered with the Exynos chip. Well, if we assume that the same approach used for the Galaxy S24 series will be adopted for the Galaxy Tab S10 series, then we can expect the base Galaxy Tab S10, and Tab S10+ to arrive with Exynos 2400 chipset. The high-end model of the series might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset.

The company could use the same practice of regionally different devices just like its smartphones for the upcoming tablets. If that works out, every Galaxy Tab S10 gadget in countries like the US, China, and Japan will have a Snapdragon chip. Such an approach could prove to be beneficial for the company since it is a cost-saving method. According to reports, last year the company spent $8.87 billion on mobile processors. From this perspective, in-house Exynos chipsets is a good business decision.

Furthermore, higher heat management is made possible by the larger tablet sizes, which may help resolve any performance difficulties that have historically been linked to Exynos chips. Samsung may release the Galaxy Tab S10 series tablets in July along with other gadgets including the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7 series, and Galaxy Ring, according to a recent regulatory filing.
