Samsung might be working on three new smart wearables
When it comes to wearables, smartwatch is the most relevant category that users can relate to although there are several other options for the smart wearables category. Previously, we have heard about several companies working on other types of smart accessories. Well, Samsung is one such company whose sporadic trademark filings serve as a constant reminder that the world of smart gadgets has greater potential for diversity.
As per some recent pieces of information, the South Korean tech firm has filed three new trademarks. The trademark applications were filed at the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO). Interestingly, the company has filed the trademarks for “Samsung Circle,” “Samsung Index,” and “Samsung Insight” products. The three trademarks all belong to the same “Nice Classification 9.” It includes items like “wearable computers, smart rings, smart watches, and smartphones,” among others.
How may these Samsung devices look?
Well, these trademarks could be relevant to smart devices such as smart bracelets, smart rings, VR controllers, or smart glasses. This is just a possibility since the available information is not sufficient to support this claim. Given the nature of information, the actual nature and shape of these devices can’t be predicted.
This is not the first time that Samsung has filed trademark documents for smart wearables. In the past, the tech giant has already registered the trademarks for Galaxy Glasses and Galaxy Ring, which gave strong hints that a set of smart glasses and a smart ring were in development.
In addition to this, the company is also working on a new XR (mixed reality) headset. There is a probability that the company might be working on developing some accessories for XR users that could help them interact with VR and XR objects. Besides this, Samsung could have acquired these trademarks to keep them reserved.
