Samsung Officially Launches Galaxy M01 and Galaxy M11 Budget Smartphones

Samsung today introduced the Galaxy M01 for the equivalent of $120 in India. In this smartphone, you get a display with a waterdrop notch, a Snapdragon 439, and 3GB RAM. This should make the smartphone relatively competitive in its price range.

After some details of the Galaxy M01 had already been leaked in the past weeks and months, Samsung officially launched the smartphone in India today. The Galaxy M01 will go on sale next along with the Galaxy M11 already launched for $120 from today.

For this budget phone price you are not left behind, you get a 5.7-inch display that resolves with HD+ and has a waterdrop notch. This contains a 5 MP selfie camera, while a dual camera setup is used on the back. Here the main sensor has a resolution of 13MP, while the second 2MP sensor is probably used for the calculation of depth information. A fingerprint scanner is unfortunately not on board.

Inside, the company uses a processor two-year-old Snapdragon 439, which is supported by 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The latter can be expanded by up to 512 GB using a microSD card. The built-in battery has a capacity of 4000mAh and should therefore get even intensive usage through the day without any problems. As usual, the current Android 10 is the operating system available in the device. It is currently unclear whether and when the Galaxy M01 will be available in Europe. However, this is not very likely, since Samsung tends to rely on the A-series smartphones in those countries.
