Samsung Rolls Out May Security Update to the Galaxy S10 Series

Samsung is rolling out the May 2021 security update to the Galaxy S10 series. The update is for the unlocked units registered in the US.

The company has already started rolling out the June security update to its latest flagships. However, there are still plenty of Galaxy devices receiving the May security update. One such series includes the Unlocked units of the Galaxy S10.

The update was first rolled out to the rest of the world. In fact, the update was sent a couple of weeks earlier. Moreover, the same update was recently rolled over to some carrier variants of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ in the USA.

According to a source, this rollout for the US market starts today and carries firmware version G97xU1UES5GUD1. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t included any improvements to the unlocked Galaxy S10 registered in the US. Although, the company did send some improvements to the rest of the world, such as improvements to file sharing over Quick Share and to camera performance.

If you live in the US and own any of the Galaxy S10 series devices, you will only get the security patch for May. We could expect that the company may roll out some improvement to the carried-locked variants.

The series receiving the update includes the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+.

If you have not received the update notification from the company, you may head towards the settings to manually download the update.
