Samsung Rolls Out the Latest Software Update to the Galaxy Note 20 Lineup in the US

Samsung has started rolling out the November 2021 software update to a series of devices. We just pushed out news about the Galaxy Z Flip 3 receiving the latest update from the company and now it is the unlocked variants of the Galaxy Note 20.

According to reports, Samsung is rolling out the November 2021 software update to the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the US. Yesterday, the company rolled out the update to the international variants of the Galaxy Note 20 lineup.

The latest update comes with firmware version N98xU1UES2DUJ7 and brings the November 2021 security patch. This security update fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities found in the device. The software update for the device might also fix some bugs on the device and improve the device’s stability.

The networking receiving this update from Samsung includes AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Sprint, Tracfone, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile, available in the US. Users of the Galaxy Note 20 (SM-N981U1) and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (SM-N986U1) can follow the below steps to manually check for the updates:

A Little About the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra

The duo came last year on August 21 with Android 10-based One UI 3.0. Both were upgradeable to Android 11 (and so they did). The vanilla model is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus smartphone, while the Ultra is a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X device. Both devices come with the same chipset: Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 5G+ (7 nm+) in the US.
