Redmi is currently working on the Redmi K50 series. That said, the company must be busy with the activities as well. This K50 series is not coming this year; we expect it to come in 2022.
According to some leaks, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is likely to equip the K50 with a high-quality curved edge display, a Snapdragon flagship chipset, and a large-sized battery. The handset under discussion could be the first device of the K50 lineup, i.e. the Redmi K50 (vanilla).
More leaks suggested that this device could have a 108MP primary rear camera, an x-axis motor, and JBL dual stereo speakers. These features might relate to the top-tiered devices – the Redmi K50 Pro or Redmi K50 Pro+.
Since the company hasn’t said much about the Redmi K50 series, we assume this lineup will also have three siblings; just like the Redmi K40 series. So we can expect to get K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+.
One leak also suggested that the series will feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner and an AMOLED panel. The same source also tipped that the vanilla model may come with the Snapdragon 888 or 870 chip, while the Pro and Pro+ may come with the forthcoming Snapdragon 898 chip.
