Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to have the best smartphone camera. The rear side upholds a quad-camera setup with 108MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and 2 10MP telephoto sensors. But we heard that Samsung could bring a more advanced camera next year. This could be the new Galaxy S22 Ultra.
According to a tipster, this new device could feature an improved periscope camera with continuous zoom. The periscope zoom units on the Galaxy S21 Ultra have fixed lenses. It uses a cropped image from the primary camera or use a separate intermediary zoom lens (2x or 3x) before the periscope camera kicks in, which results in poor image quality at non-native zoom levels.
According to the source, Samsung Electromechanics and Samsung LSI may have developed a continuous zoom periscope solution for the new Galaxy S22 Ultra. Lenses inside this new periscope unit can move freely (from 3x to 10x), offering perfect optical sharpness and details. This technology is usually found on digital and DSLR cameras.
We also expect that this device will come with an under-display selfie camera and the Exynos 2200 processor with AMD Radeon Mobile GPU.
