Samsung is rolling out the Android 11 update to the Galaxy A12. The phone was released with Android 10, which disappointed users. But with this update, the company has a chance to win back their trust.
Russia is said to be receiving this update. The update is coming strong with Android 11 based on One UI 3.1 (Core) and the latest security patch – May 2021. The update comes with firmware version A125FXXU1BUE3.
The expected features it could bring include one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, chat bubbles, dedicated media player widget below the quick settings toggles, improved security, and better privacy.
The One UI 3.1 features could include a refreshed UI design, more lock screen widgets, better versions of Digital Wellbeing and parental controls, easier access to smart home controls, and more Dynamic Lockscreen options.
The May 2021 security patch includes fixes from Google for three critical vulnerabilities and 23 fixes from Samsung for one UI vulnerability.
Users owning a Galaxy A12 and living in Russia could soon expect to receive an update notification. You may also manually check for the Android 11 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.
