Samsung to Launch Galaxy M16 and M06 5G in India Soon

Samsung is gearing up to launch two new budget-friendly smartphones in India: the Galaxy M16 and Galaxy M06 5G. The tech giant has officially confirmed their release, and a teaser for both phones is now live on Amazon, building anticipation among fans. These models are successors to the Galaxy F06 5G and Galaxy M06 5G, offering upgrades and exciting new features. While Samsung hasn’t revealed an exact launch date yet, here’s what we know so far.

BIS and Wi-Fi Certifications Hint at Key Features

Both devices were previously spotted on the BIS certification site under model numbers SM-E066B/DS and SM-M066B/DS. The “DS” in the model numbers confirms dual SIM connectivity. The certification, granted on January 13, adds further weight to the upcoming launch. Additionally, the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G appeared on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification with the same model numbers, suggesting their readiness for market entry.

Vibrant Colors, Sleek Design

The new Galaxy M16 and M06 5G are rumored to come in a variety of colors, including black, blue, dark green, purple, and orange. As seen in the teaser poster, both phones feature a capsule-shaped camera module on the back, adding a modern and stylish touch to their design.

Powered by Android 15 and MediaTek Dimensity Processors

Samsung fans can expect both smartphones to launch with Android 15, topped with Samsung’s One UI for a seamless user experience. Under the hood, the Galaxy M16 and Galaxy M06 are likely to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, an upgrade from the previous generation’s Dimensity 6100+. This ensures smoother performance and faster speeds.

Affordable Pricing and Variants

Staying true to their budget-friendly reputation, these smartphones are expected to be priced under Rs 15,000, similar to their predecessors. They are likely to come in variants with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM, offering options for different user needs.

Recap of Galaxy F06 5G

For context, the Galaxy F06 5G was recently launched in India with a starting price of Rs 9,499. It features a 6.7-inch display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5000mAh battery. These specs give us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming models.
