Samsung to launch Galaxy S23 by the first week of February

Get ready for the Galaxy S23 series. It’s just a wait of a few months now.

Every year Samsung follows the pattern of releasing its flagship Galaxy S phones by Q1 (mostly towards the end of February). A few weeks prior to Q1 Samsung launched three different smartphones. These include Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. For the next year, the company plans to launch the Galaxy S23 series given a similar time frame.

As per a report from South Korea, the new smartphone will be showcased in the first week of February. It will be revealed during the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event. The event is reported to be held in San Francisco, California, USA. The devices may be available for sale as of February 17, 2023. For some markets, Samsung will be using Exynos 2300 processor in the Galaxy S23 series, as per some reports. While most of the units will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The two chipsets are expected to fabricate by a 4nm process.

For the past few months, various news sources have revealed the information about feature specifications of the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+ are expected to be based on a faster processor and a bigger battery. Some reports also suggest that Galaxy S23 Ultra might feature a 200MP main camera and a faster processor.

Globally the smartphone market is underachieving. Alongside this, the memory chip business of Samsung also faced a profit drop. For this reason, the South Korean firm has deiced to launch Galaxy S23 earlier. They are expecting that this step might help them with gaining sales compared to their rivals. During its Q3 2022 earnings call, Samsung mentioned that it will increase the share of its high-end phones. Thus, boosting profitability.
