Although the official launch of the Galaxy S24 series is months away, we have come across several rumors and reports regarding the upcoming flagship series. Reportedly, the Galaxy S24 will be the company’s first AI smartphone with features like text-to-image generation, real-time call translations, and others. A new report indicates that the smartphone could arrive with Snapchat integration into the device’s lock screen. It appears quite similar to the one already found on the OnePlus 11, based on Android 14.
Snapchat is one of the most famous apps among Gen-Z. An APK teardown of the Snapchat v12.62.0.36 beta by folks at Android Authority indicates that the app might be incorporated into the lock screen. It is reported that the code strings found in the app are similar to those used in Oppo and OnePlus devices. So, we can anticipate a possible launch.
Snapchat’s camera can be directly accessed from the lock screen already. It can be used to maintain streaks and stay connected. Recently, a similar feature for Instagram was also spotted. These features suggest that the upcoming flagship series from Samsung could provide an extraordinarily smart experience.
In the past, the South Korean tech firm Samsung also partnered with Instagram to take pictures or film videos straight from Samsung’s stock camera. This means that lock screen integration is an obvious step. This feature is already available on Oppo and OnePlus devices. Therefore, when the Galaxy S24 series is released, Samsung may incorporate the cameras from Snapchat and Instagram into the lock screen. One UI 6.0, based on Android 14, might be available out of the box.
