Some information about the display specs of Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

Some details about the display specs of Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro just emerged. Previously, it was rumored that the display size of the Pixel 8 will be smaller than the Pixel 7. In this way, a more sizeable difference between the display of standard and Pro models will emerge.

Spec details of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro display

The Pixel 8 will feature a 6.17-inch flat display (64 x 143mm). In contrast, the Pixel 7 featured a 6.3-inch panel. The display will offer fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it has support for different refresh rate modes i.e., 10Hz, 30Hz, 60Hz, and 120Hz. The display of Pixel 8 offers 1,400 nits of brightness.

On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro features a 6.7-inch display (70 x 155mm). The main difference between the Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel 7 Pro is the curvature. Its panel is reportedly flat, not like the one found on the Pixel 7 Pro. The display of Pixel 8 Pro offers 2992 x 1344 resolution. In comparison, the Pixel 7 Pro offers 3120 x 1440 resolution. Like the Pixel 8, the Pixel 8 Pro will also offer several refresh rate modes i.e., 5Hz, 10Hz, 30Hz, 60Hz, and 120Hz. In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro offers 1,600 nits of peak brightness.

The display of both smartphones is an OLED panel. Both devices will feature Samsung’s OLED displays. Some reports suggest that a few units of Pixel 8 might feature a BOE panel. Both smartphones will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, some reports suggest that both phones will feature an optical unit.
