Some insights into the Funtouch OS 13 [Vivo’s new Android 13 skin]

The stable Android 13-based updates of Vivo’s Funtouch are out now.

Concerning the Vivo chain, Funtouch OS is the weakest link. For the last couple of years, the company has been improving its Android skin. It is working on a more stock-line look as well as feel.

As of now, Vivo declared that the stable Funtouch OS 13 is now available. It is based on Android 13. Now the question is how this upgradation stands out from the previous versions of the Android skin carried by Vivo.

Features of Funtouch OS 13

For starters, the company has introduced various personalized options. These include wallpaper-based systems, color schemes, and changing the colors of app icons in accordance with the wallpapers. These features are introduced under the Material You category. Furthermore, privacy-focused features are also incorporated. These range from app pinning, to hiding photos and videos. In addition to this, Android 13 only provides access to a few specified photos.

Besides this, Vivo is also working to improve its iManager system manager. It will enable the phone cooling. This utility shuts down demanding apps with just a single tap. Moreover, the interface will also display an air quality index card on the dashboard.

A video editor is also made part of the latest updates. This enables the users to mute videos as well as rise the volume for specified sections of the video clip. Likewise, the company notifies that accessibility enhancements have also been introduced. These refer to removing animations and color correction/inversion.

Supported devices and availability of Funtouch OS 13

According to Vivo, stable Fun Touch OS 13 was introduced on October 24. Initially, they were introduced for Vivo X80 Pro. Well, no specific timeline for updates for other devices has been mentioned by the company. The updates will be received gradually on all other related devices. The roadmap by Vivo beta gives us a rough estimate. It is said that Android 13 beta will be introduced to devices like the X80, X70 Pro Plus, X70 Pro, X60 series, and more by the end of this year.
