Sony Xperia 1 V is the next flagship of the company

The next flagship smartphone to be debuted by Sony is the Sony Xperia 1 V. It looks like the current flagship follows a similar path as Xperia 1 IV. Well, if this is the case then it is definitely not good.

Some recent pieces of information were shared on Weibo by a tipster named ZackBuks. It appears that the company will introduce the latest flagship around the similar timeline it followed for the Xperia 1 IV last year. It could be launched in May. While the sales will officially begin in June 2023.

Well, if we look at the previous track record of the company, it is obvious that the company is not good at smartphone launches. Instead, the company faces several issues as we have observed the worst-case scenario with the Xperia 1 III. The company introduced it in China in June 2021. Whereas the same device was introduced in mid-August in the US and the UK market. Do note that the tipster has shared the information about the Chinese market, which receives the flagships sooner than other markets.

Well, we can expect that the company can change its strategy this time. Hopefully, things will be different with this flagship. It is a fact that Sony manufactures the most compelling devices. However, it is its bad marketing and release cycle that hampers its image.

Let’s hope Sony took note of the mistakes it made in the past. We can only hope that the Xperia 1 V’s release schedule will be very different.
