Starlink is now available in 32 countries and available immediately

Elon Musk had announced a rapid expansion for Starlink – now the first successes can be reported: SpaceX’s satellite internet service is now available in 32 countries and can be delivered immediately. Starlink continues to expand at a rapid pace.

The American company Starlink confirmed on Twitter the expansion of the availability of its service, including the hardware that is immediately available, to 32 countries. You can now read about availability and also about the planned further expansion on a page of www.starlink.com informs. There a world map is shown, with the locations that are already available, planned on the waiting list, and locations that will be added soon. Dates can also be found on the interactive map.

The expansion plans for the coming year are interesting. Then Starlink wants to include Greenland and Iceland in its network in addition to Africa and the Saudi Arabian peninsula. Before the end of this year, the first customers in Japan and the Philippines should also be able to go online with Starlink. Other locations such as the US, Australia, and Canada should be fully covered in the coming months.

No more delivery problems

The most surprising thing about this announcement isn’t the number of countries, but the fact that Starlink is already marked as immediately available in so many places. Last month things looked a little different – the company had apologized for wait times, which were also due to its rapid growth. Of course, the global chip shortage won’t have such a big impact on Starlink production if the company can now ship its starter kits again quickly.
