Stranger Things 5 Begins: Netflix Drops New Trailer Ahead of the Final Season

In just a few days, one of the most successful Netflix series is heading towards its finale: Season 5 of Stranger Things starts on the streaming platform on Thursday. Even if it’s actually no longer necessary, a new trailer should increase fans’ anticipation even further.

Exciting finale

Netflix is not showing the final season of the mystery series, which started in 2016, in one go, but in several parts. Issue 1 with episodes 1 to 4 will be published on November 27, 2025. If you want to be one of the first to see this in this country, you have to get up early – or go to bed late, because the episodes are published at 2:00 a.m. In Season 5, Hawkins continues to be quarantined. Despite the significantly increased military presence, neither the small town itself nor the rest of the world are really safe. The danger from Vecna has still not been averted, even though he recently went into hiding. The new preview also makes this clear once again.

Things get a little crazy

However, our heroes have now developed a plan to track down and kill Vecna - but it seems to be a “bit crazy”, as Netflix aptly describes it in the trailer. What exactly Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) have come up with remains to be seen. After the first four episodes this week, fans have to be patient again for the time being: Issue 2 (episodes 5 to 7) doesn’t start until December 26th. The big finale (episode 8) doesn’t start until January 1, 2026. This should then bring the story of the Hawkins clique to an emotional conclusion and tie together the last remaining storylines.
