Windows 11 is expected to get a major update sometime in October. This Update 22H2 (2022, semester 2), currently known as Sun Valley 2, will bring many new features. she could be coming soon to Insiders.
It is the famous Walking Cat leaker who reveals the release date of this Build 22H2 in a laconic tweet. It would be for next May 24th…or in just a few days!
Windows 11 Sun Valley 2 with new features
The leaker is talking about the RTM version of the operating system here. This is the “final” version. of the Construction. All news and changes desired by Microsoft are included. All that’s left now is to fix any bugs that may remain until release. This is where Insiders come in. This 22H2 version would be nicknamed Sun Valley 2 internally (Sun Valley is Windows 11) and would offer many features, unknown or already seen in builds already online.
Anyway, this May 24 date wouldn’t be trivial. It is indeed the start of Microsoft’s Build conference, dedicated to developers. The company could then officially unveil its new version of Windows 11 and appeal to professionals and the general public alike who are curious about what lies ahead. Windows 11 should work based on annual updates, as was already the case with Windows 10.
Every October, a major update should bring a lot of new features, and why not some design tweaks. We have to wait until May 24 to see if this RTM version will be announced, but the date does not seem unusual. As a reminder, Windows 11 was already available for testing from June 2021 (released on October 5 of the same year). If you have not yet installed this operating system on your computer, you can do it for free from its official website.
