TCL debuts its first smartphones incorporating NXTPAPER technology

We all know TCL as a TV company. However, the company also deals in tablets and smartphones. Remarkably, TCL debuted NXTPAPER technology. Initially, the company used this technology inside its tablets, and now the technology is going to be a part of the company’s smartphones. TCL 40 smartphones will feature NXTPAPER technology.

You might be wondering, What is the NXTPAPER technology? Well, as the name indicates, the technology behaves more like paper. This implies that it will feel similar to paper. This is excellent if you want to write on a tablet that you are using. It should feel more like using a piece of paper than a piece of glass. Furthermore, the blue light that might strain the eyes is filtered away, which is great for the eyes.

TCL announced the new TCL 40 NXTPAPER phones

As a part of this announcement, the company has unveiled two new smartphones. They are the TCL 40 NXTPAPER and the TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G. The TCL 40 NXTPAPER features a 6.78-inch FHD+ display. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It features a 50MP camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP ultrawide camera on the back. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera is provided.

On the other hand, the TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G features a 6.6-inch HD+ display. It is a slight downgrade as compared to the non-5G model. It features 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It includes a similar camera island to the TCL 40 NXTPAPER. The RAM and screen technologies are what differentiate these phones’ specifications the most.

The two smartphones are expected to be officially available at some point next month. Reportedly, the TCL 40 NXTPAPER will be priced at €199 and the TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G will be available for €249. The phones will initially debut in the European market and later in other markets.
