Tecno begin the production of Phantom V Fold in India

In keeping with its dedication to the “Made in India” initiative, the Chinese phone manufacturer Tecno today announced that production of the Phantom V Fold has started in India. It will be produced in Tecno’s Noida factory, which can now produce 24 million phones annually.

In addition to this, the company stated that the Phantom V Fold is set to launch in the Indian market by April 11. It will be available on Amazon for early access from April 12. The limited stock of Phantom V Fold is priced at INR77,777 ($945/€870). The company has not shared details regarding the price of Phantom V Fold in India later.

Feature specifications of Phantom V Fold

The Phantom V Fold is the first-ever foldable device by Tecno. It features Dimensity 9000+ SoC at the helm. The original version supports 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. However, there is no word about which configuration will be introduced in India. The foldable display measures 7.85″ diagonal with a 2,296×2,000-pixel resolution. where the cover display measures 6.42″ diagonally. It offers full HD+ resolution. Both displays are LTPO-type panels. They have a refresh rate of 120Hz and offer 1,100 nits peak brightness.

The smartphone holds a 5,000mAh battery. It supports 45W charging. Phantom V Fold comes with five cameras. Three cameras are provided on the back, one on the inside, and one camera is presented on the cover display. On the inside, a 16MP selfie camera is presented. Whereas the cover display features a 32MP selfie camera. the rear camera setup consists of a 50MP main camera, a 50Mp telephoto camera, and a 13MP ultrawide camera. In contrast to Vivo X Fold and Fold+, the Phantom V Fold is not provided with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It includes a side-mounted solution instead.
