Tecno Phantom V Flip is now official

Tecno held its event in Singapore recently. During the event, the company debuted its first clamshell foldable smartphone. Well, the Teno Phantom V Flip is actually the second foldable smartphone introduced by the company. It is followed by the Phantom V Fold which debuted in February.

The previously introduced Phantom V Fold grabbed the attention of the masses, given its price tag. We can expect a similar case with the recently debuted Phantom V Flip. The Tecno Phantom V Flip features “lychee-pattern classic leather” and is made out of leather and metal. The bezels on the main display are thin. A central display camera hole can be found on the main display.

Tecno V Flip’s cover display is described as ‘The Planet’

A circular cover screen with a camera array can be found on the back. It has been named “The Planet” by the company. It measures 1.32 inches in size. It is basically an AMOLED panel with two cameras placed in the ring surrounding it. Well, this is a new and fresh design. The display features customizable options for wallpapers and widgets. The company has used the term “Smart Widgets” for the customizable widgets. They include the widgets for agenda, stopwatch, weather forecast, vitality rings, and more.

On the other hand, the main display measures 6.9 inches. It is a fullHD+ (2640 x 1080) AMOLED panel. It is basically an LPTO screen that features a refresh rate of 10 to 120Hz and a touch sampling of 360Hz. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC. The smartphone features 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Interestingly, the device has support for virtual RAM as well.

Tecno V Flip can be fully charged in 45 minutes

The smartphone accompanies a 4,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast wired charging. The phone can be charged 50% in just 15 minutes, whereas the full charge requires 45 minutes. The smartphone comes with Android 13 and Tecno’s HiOS 13.5 skin. It also features an ELLAGPT personal assistant.

Tecno V Flip features a 64MP primary camera accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide camera. A 32MP selfie shooter can be found on the main display. It has support for the ‘FreeCam’ system, which enables users to activate the shutter from afar.

The device comes in two colors

The Phantom V Flip 5G is available in two different colors: Black and Mystic Dawn. It is assumed that the smartphone will cost below $650. The smartphone is set to launch in the Indian market first. Later on, it will arrive in other markets. In the Indian market, the Tecno V Flip is priced at INR49,999 ($598) as an early bird price tag. The price of the smartphone may be different in different markets.
