The flagship Vivo X100 (Pro) camera series smashes the one billion unit sales mark

The Vivo X100 series was just recently launched. The new series by Vivo accompanies some great camera specs. Recently, the company shared that the smartphones were doing great in sales. As of now, another claim has been made by the company. Reportedly, the smartphone series has sold more than one billion units worldwide for the first time in the history of the manufacturer’s distribution networks. The information was shared on Weibo.

One thing to notice here is that the numbers are in yuan and not in euros or dollars. The amount of 1 billion yuan is equivalent to USD 140 million. Well, this is quite impressive given the few days of sales since the new series went official just ten days ago. This indicates that, compared to all of the manufacturer’s previous smartphone models, the Vivo X100 series has had a more spectacular launch.

The company has not shared details about the number of units sold. As for pricing, the Vivo X100 is available at 3,999 yuan (USD 650) and the Vivo X100 Pro is priced at 5,999 yuan (USD 845). It means that the company has sold around 166,000 to 250,000 units of the new series. It is anticipated that the number of sales will only increase with time, particularly because at least two more versions are supposedly in the works.

Previously, it was reported that the Vivo X100 Pro+ might debut as the Vivo X100 Ultra. According to the information shared by the tipster Digital Chat Station, the company might be working on the Vivo X100s. A report on Weibo claimed that the Vivo X100s would be unveiled in April next year. In contrast to the previous two models, it will feature a flat display rather than a rounded one. Its price will be less than the Vivo X100. Besides this, there is no further information about it. Notably, the report covering this information has been deleted from Weibo.
