The group chat settings page of WhatsApp will receive a new design

A new feature is on its way for WhatsApp users. This feature is particularly beneficial for admins of a group. It is related to the settings on a group chat. Currently, the settings are basic and the company wants to add some fun factor to it.

Notably, the company will introduce some new icons and toggle switches. Furthermore, the settings option will get a redesign rather than adding a new feature to the page. The new layout of the group settings page will provide admins with more control over the group chat. The feature is already in the Beta testing phase.

In accordance with the information from WABetaInfo, the UI redesign is tested by WhatsApp Beta testers. The current design of the settings page is simple however it misses out on the attractive appeal. Moreover, in order to modify the settings on the current design admins are required to tap and access a different menu. So, most of the modification involves two or more steps only then they can be seen in a group chat. For this reason, it is not as simple as it appears.

The new layout, on the other hand, is simple and easy to use. In contrast to the pop-up menus, the company has now introduced toggles against most options. For instance, editing group admins. Besides this, the new layout has three sections on the group chat settings page. These are as follows:  Participants can, Admins can, and Group admins.

These sections will make stuff easy to control and introduce customized settings. Admins can simply turn the toggle on or off for various features. given the fact that the feature is under Beta testing, we can anticipate that the feature arrives globally quite soon. It will be accompanied by several design layout modifications that the company is introducing for the Android app. The new changes will be rolled out via an app update in the coming weeks from the Google Play Store and the App Store.
