The unidentified flagship phone under development features two under-screen cameras and a bezel-free display

In 2021, Xiaomi debuted the Xiaomi MIX 4 with an under-display camera. It was the only smartphone with an under-display camera in the recent past. Just recently, some information regarding a smartphone featuring a pair of under-display cameras was shared by tipster Digital Chat Station. According to details, it appears that the tipster is referring to the Xiaomi Mix 5.

According to the tipster, a smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chipset is currently being tested. Notably, the smartphone features a bezel-less look given the fact that it contains ultra-thin bezels on all four sides. Furthermore, the tipster claims that the smartphone contains two under-display cameras. It looks like the phone has a telephoto lens with an optical magnification of up to 4x on one of its rear-facing cameras.

One thing to notice here is that the tipster has not mentioned the name of the device. However, the display design and under-screen cameras suggest that the tipster might be referring to the Xiaomi Mix 5. On the other hand, there is a possibility that it might be a ZTS flagship smartphone, given the fact that for the past few years, ZTE has been announcing smartphones with under-display cameras. For this reason, this information must be taken with a grain of salt.

As far as MIX 5 is concerned, some reports suggest that Xiaomi might not launch it in 2024. Recently, the smartphone was spotted in the IMEI database with the 2503AVP01C model number. It might be unveiled in March 2025. Besides this, the company will reportedly debut two MIX-branded smartphones in 2024. The Xiaomi Mix Flip, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, will reportedly arrive in H1 2024, whereas the MIX Fold 4, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, might arrive in H2 2024.
