There might be only one Pixel tablet coming to the market
In 2022, we came across a rumor that predicted that the tech company Google will soon introduce two new models for Pixel tablets. These could be the Pixel Pro model and a standard model. However, as of now, it appears like this may not be the actual case.
Kuba Wojciechowski has shared some insights about the forthcoming device. As per the shared tweets, we have received information about the specs, new images, and some other details regarding the tablet. Previously Wojciechowski was of the view that the tech company might introduce two different devices with different chipsets. According to his speculations, the two devices might present similar features besides the chipsets. The non-pro model was believed to run on the first gen Tensor chip, whereas the pro model was expected to feature Tensor G2. Now, recent information suggests that the company has changed its future plans.
As per the information obtained from the tweet of Wojciechowski, it appears that the company has likely canceled the plans for a non-Pro model. It will only introduce one tablet having the Tensor G2 chipset. If this information is correct, then it is really a matter of consideration whether this model could be referred to as Pro or not. Since there will be no standard model presented with potentially less powerful hardware.
The new information has also shed some light on the feature specifications. It is reported that the device will be equipped with 8GB of Samsung LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of Kioxia UFS storage. Besides this, it will accompany the support for a fingerprint reader on the side of the tablet. It will be presented with a 2560 x 1600 resolution display.
When it comes to display, it looks like Google has sacrificed an OLED panel for an LCD. The images show the product from all different angles. However, the recently shared images are not something not seen before in the previously leaked images. It is expected that the Pixel tablet will be introduced in 2023. However, the company has not shared any official release date yet.
