Tipsters Leak Information About the Redmi K40G (2021) and the Redmi K50 (2022)

Redmi released the K40 and K40 Pro this year. The company is now planning to launch two more devices belonging to the Redmi K40 series – the Redmi K40 Ultra and the Redmi K40G. Ahead of their launch, we got a little information about the K40G. So let’s quickly check them out.

According to the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, this smartphone would be very similar to the basic version of the K40. However, we also heard from the tipster the K40G would have some different type of hardware. The tipster hinted at a different chipset than the Snapdragon 870 found in the K40.

We also heard that Redmi will release the K50 series in 2022. Interestingly, we have more information about this device than the Redmi K40G.

According to the tips we received, this K50 would feature an E-5 AMOLED display from Samsung. There’ll be a built-in fingerprint scanner. We also heard that one of the devices from the series would have the Snapdragon 895 (it could be the Pro version). This chipset would be clubbed with the Cortex-V9 Kryo 780 computing cores. There would be at least 8GB of RAM.

Moreover, the K50 would also feature the high-performance graphics accelerator Adreno 730 and an advanced 5G mobile modem. The leak also said that this device could also have a 67W fast-charging support.
