Recently, T-Mobile announced that the 2G service will close next year in April. From this perspective, the company has decided to offer free 5G smartphones to persuade users to give up the old tech.

Notably, the company is sending emails, messages, and direct mail to notify users. Moreover, the company is notifying users of different ways to update their devices. This implies that people who are still using the outdated cellular standard can visit a T-Mobile store after being notified and ask for a free smartphone.

Reportedly, consumers will be given the option to choose the 5G smartphone of their choice. They can choose from TCL 30 XE 5G, TCL Flip Go, Nokia G310, Moto G 5G (2022 or 2023 edition), REVVL 6 5G, REVVL 6 Pro 5G, and the newly added OnePlus Nord N300 5G.The OnePlus Nord N300 5G comes with a 90Hz screen and T-Mobile’s 5G network. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor and features a 5,000mAh battery.

However, it’s vital to remember that the offer has been in effect since last year and is free of any additional conditions, such as complicated criteria or monthly bill credits. In huge cities, small towns, and everywhere in between, T-Mobile is still providing a game-changing 5G network experience. The outdated T-Mobile 2G network will be retired as part of this initiative, the company announced in a notification.
