Two new entry-level graphics cards with RDNA3 leaked

With an allegedly planned Radeon RX 7400 and RX 7300, AMD is said to be planning to release two inexpensive entry-level graphics cards that could be available for under 300 euros.

New entry-level cards on the way?

Right now, everyone is talking about the new processors from AMD. After a delay due to a typo, the sale of the Ryzen 5 CPUs will start on August 8th and 15th. But there is also news in the area of ​​graphics cards. A rumor is now giving price-conscious users in particular reason to hope for cheap Radeon models. The well-known scene insider Komachi_Ensaka has posted on X (via VideoCardz) shared hints about new cards from AMD. He wrote the following simple message: “Radeon RX 7400 & RX 7300”. In another post he added: “0x7499, NV33”.

Both messages clearly indicate the release of two new Radeon models, namely the RX 7400 and the RX 7300. The PCI device ID is also mentioned with “0x7499”. “NV33” indicates that the cards are based on the Navi 33 GPU, which AMD first introduced in January 2023. It is currently used in cards such as the RX 7500 XT, the RX 7600 or the RX 7700S.

Graphics cards could close the gap

At the same time, this means that both cards will probably not have more than 2048 shader units. At most, AMD could adjust the memory specifications and power consumption. Eight, six or four gigabyte variants would be conceivable. However, more precise information is not yet known. So we can only speculate about the specifications. However, an RX 7400 with 1024 cores would already be an upgrade over its predecessor, the RX 6500 XT.

The same applies to the EX 6400 with only 768 cores. In order for the two new Radeon cards to offer an interesting option, AMD would have to surpass the performance of its own RDNA3 APUs such as those in the 8000G series. The cheapest card with Navi 33 is currently the Radeon RX 7600. Accordingly, AMD currently has no GPUs with RDNA3 under an RRP of 300 euros on offer.
