United Nations Agency Discuss Laptop Ban On Various International Airlines

The ban on laptops on airlines has affected Royal Jordanian, Egypt Air, Turkish Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Kuwait Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Etihad Airways. The ban resulted in an uproar and anger in U.K and other affected countries. For this purpose a United Nations aviation agency has initiated a step for guiding people around the world on the use of laptops and other electronic devices while travelling by air.

United Arab Emirates, Egypt and other countries complained about this penalization on their airlines. As many business men use laptops while travelling, this sudden ban has caused loss to the airlines. The United Nations agency discussed this point; there aim was to come up with other solutions that can solve the risk of having explosives in laptops. Though this issue was under debate, it can still not override the bans made by US, UK and Britain.

According to the new flight rules, large electronic devices which include laptop and cameras are banned. Thankfully mobile phones and medical devices are not included in the banned items list. This was done because of an ever increasing threat of terrorism. Due to the concerns by affected airlines, International Civil Aviation Organization has been asked to come up with an approach that can diminish the risk linked with large electronic devices.
