WhatsApp is coming up with new updates and new features on its app. One of the new features is animated stickers. Another feature expected to launch in WhatsApp is QR codes for profiles. This would make it easier to scan anyone’s code to add them as a contact instead of entering their number manually. This feature was available on few other apps, however on WhatsApp it is just launching.

It is important to mention here that WhatsApp has also improved Group video calls. If you are participating in a group video, just click on the video of a participant to maximize their video. Also, if your group chat has 8 or less participants you can start a group chat with a single click as 8 in the max participants supported by WhatsApp in a group call.

WhatsApp web version is also getting support for the dark mode. Furthermore, those of you who are on KaiOS devices can get access to the Status feature, that is the WhatsApp’s adoption of Stories.

The dark mode for desktop, group video call improvements, and status in KaiOS is launching, however the animates stickers and QR codes for profiles will be rolling out in a few weeks time.
