How this new feature will work?

Such an update is quite useful. The company has announced the new feature via a blog post. From now onwards, anyone can’t join a group as soon as a group is shared. Users will be required to send a request for joining the group.  The admin of the group will be presented with a Pending Participants page. Admin could view the accounts of users that wish to join the group. Moreover, the admin can accept or deny the requests. In this way, admins could check the user before providing them with access to group chat. Such a feature will be beneficial for companies that discuss sensitive information n a group chat.

Another option to assist you filter who can join your group is also included in the most recent version. This is true of anyone asking to join a group, not just them. The app will display all of your shared groups when you search for a user by name. This is helpful since it reveals whether the person you’re looking for has similar interests to yours.

The company has rolled out the above-mentioned feature to users. In case, you haven’t received the feature yet, wait for the app to be updated.
