Vivo X Flip: More information appears about the clamshell foldable
Some fresh pieces of information indicate something interesting from Vivo. The recently leaked information is about Vivo X Flip. As the name of the device suggests, it is a clamshell foldable smartphone. In reality, it is going to be the first foldable smartphone by the company.
The word ‘Flip’ has become a synonym for branding of a clamshell foldable smartphone. Samsung is using the term for many years with its foldable series. On the other hand, OPPO has recently adopted the term for its OPPO Find N2 Flip. Undoubtedly, OPPO and Samsung offer the leading flip phones in the market, as of now.
Coming back to the foldable smartphone by Vivo. Well, we have heard something about Vivo X Flip in the past. But it was quite some time ago. The recent information about Vivo X Flip has been shared by the tipster digital chat Station. According to this information, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Although this chipset is not listed as the most powerful given the recent offerings of Qualcomm. Still, it is a good choice as it comes with great power consumption.
Besides this, the leaked information suggests that the smartphone will have a 6.8-inch full HD+ main foldable display. It will be presented with a centered display camera hole. The panel will be offered a 120Hz refresh rate. The company will include 12GB of RAM on the smartphone. It will be provided with a 4,400mAh battery. It will support 44W wired charging.
When it comes to camera setup, the leaked information suggests that the device will hold a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX866 sensor). It will be accompanied by a 12-megapixel secondary camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor) on the back. Additionally, the smartphone will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The rear camera island will be located in the top-left corner. It will be circular in shape. It is anticipated that the smartphone will be debuted in China next month. However, the company has not shared any word about this.
