What are the features of Pixel 8 Pro?

According to reports, the Pixel 8 Pro is Google’s most powerful Pixel phone. In this short piece, we will uncover the features of the Pixel 8 Pro.

Display of the Pixel 8 Pro

The Pixel 8 Pro features a 6.7-inch 2992 x 1344 Super Actua OLED display. It is an LPTO-AMOLED display with a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. It features 2,400 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Processor, Storage, and OS

The smartphone is powered by the Google Tensor G3 processor with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It is a new chip from the company. It includes significant improvements as compared to the Tensor G2. The Pixel 8 Pro comes with different storage options, including 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It includes UFS 3.1 flash storage instead of the UFS 4.0. One thing to notice here is that most of the variants might not be available outside the US.

Furthermore, the smartphone features the Titan M2 coprocessor. It comes with Android 14 skin. According to Google, the device will receive 7 years of software, security, and feature drop updates.

Pixel 8 Pro features a large battery

The smartphone comes with a 5,050mAh battery with support for 30W charging. Pixel 8 Pro features support for wireless charging as well as Battery Share. According to the company, the smartphone can be charged to 50% in just 30 minutes, whereas a full charge will require longer.

Cameras of the Pixel 8 Pro

The smartphone features three back cameras including a 50MP main camera accompanied by a 48MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP telephoto camera. Some other notable camera features include support for OIS + EIS, and spectral and flicker sensors.

Pixel 8 Pro features a dual SIM setup

The smartphone is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. Some other features of the Pixel 8 Pro include an optical fingerprint scanner situated under the display, facial scanning, Dual SIM support (nano SIM +eSIM), Wi-Fi 7, 5G, stereo speakers, and Bluetooth 5.3. The smartphone weighs 213 grams and measures  162.6 x 76.5 x 8.8mm. It is available in three colors i.e., Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain options.
