WhatsApp is attempting to increase the number of chats that users may pin

WhatsApp is constantly improving the current features and adding new ones. One of the famous features of Meta’s messaging platform is pinned chats. This feature was introduced back in 2017. Since then, users can pin any three chats at any given time. According to some recent pieces of information, the company might increase the number of chats that can be pinned in the near future.

WABetaInfo reports that the latest beta version of the app enables users to pin five chats from their chats list. This feature was spotted in the version 2.24.6.13 of the WhatsApp on the Google Play Store. Well, it is a small addition but still meaningful.  The site notes that there is currently no proof to back up its speculation that WhatsApp may be thinking about consenting to more than five pins.

Anyways this is better option than the three pinned chats. It is expected that this new addition will be appreciated by users. Eventually, it will enable users access their favorite and important chats as soon as the app is opened. It seems like the new feature is not accessible to all beta users. So, it might require some time before making its way to the stable version of the app.

The previous week, Meta announced that Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp will be compatible with third-party messaging apps in Europe. This news follows shortly after that announcement.
