With time, WhatsApp has evolved by introducing new, better and improved features. But the app has been exclusive to smartphones and desktop. Now if the rumors are true, WhatsApp is working on a tablet version.
According to a reliable source, WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is planning to launch on iPads and Macs. It is planning to allow its users to log into multiple devices at once.
Currently, users can log in to WhatsApp from just one phone at a time. WhatsApp web also takes info from your phone, if you want to login via it. But now, if the rumor is true, WhatsApp will become a more traditional messaging service.

Just like other apps, you would be able to use WhatsApp without getting logged out of other devices. Earlier WhatsApp was not available on tablets as you require a phone number to install, which is not typically available on tabs.
Also, users would be able to go cross-platform and login from Android, iOS, Windows or other devices simultaneously. This will make WhatsApp more like Facebook Messenger and Instagram.
As of now, this is a mere rumor. There is no official source to validate this news. But it will be a welcoming sign if WhatsApp is able to do it securely.
