WhatsApp not to be available in Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019

An update appeared on the WhatsApp FAQ page that revealed that WhatsApp might not be available from the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019.

The update said, “You’ll no longer be able to use all Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019, and WhatsApp might not be available in the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019.”

The word might is used in the phrase, thus the whole statement is quite vague but chances are that in near future WhatsApp will be removed from the Microsoft Store.

It is pertinent to mention here that we have been telling our readers for quite some time now that the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp will lose support by the end of 2019. Along with the Windows phone version losing support, Android versions 2.3.7 and older and iOS 7 and older will also lose support till February 1, 2020.

As a version of WhatsApp will not be supported, its features might be stopped. It can work for some time, but you never know when it will stop functioning.
